Western Wyoming fly fishing trips

Snake River, Salt River, Green River

From the end of June to the first of September I guide the Snake River in the Jackson Hole area of western Wyoming. This is cutthroat trout fishing at its finest. We will float fish the river from Wilson to South Park and can also fish the Salt River and sections of the Green River. The quality of the fishery is superb as is the pure beauty of the area. The Snake River float trips can include up to three people plus the guide, depending on flows. The closer to you trip check with me as to the possibility of a third person.

These trips include terminal tackle and flies.  I can equip you with rod and reel if you would like.  If you are planning to use your own equipment then I would recommend a 4 or 5 wt fly rod with WF floating line for most dry fly and nymphing.  Afternoons on the western river tends to be a bit breezy so a 6 to 7 wt rod can be an advantage, especially if casting hoppers or big, heavy streamers.  I can readily provide this equipment if needed.  The package also includes your lunch and non-alcoholic drink.  You are welcome to bring a beer or two for yourself.

You will need a fishing license which can be purchased at most local tackle shops or can be bought online.
